I cannot count my day complete, ’til needle, thread and fabric meet.

Welcome to Anglesey in Stitches, a friendly and informal knitting and stitching group for the Anglesey villages of Lode, Swaffham Bulbeck, Bottisham, Stow-cum-Quy and Swaffham Prior.
We meet on odd-dated Tuesdays of the month at 8pm at the Black Horse, Swaffham Bulbeck where we have found a warm welcome and good lighting. We can be found either in the conservatory or at the back of the restaurant area.
Anyone is welcome to join us, whether you are accomplished at your craft or a complete beginner; our ethos is that we all learn and benefit from each other’s knowledge and experience, whether that is with knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, patchwork or other techniques.
This blog has a bit of catching up to do. Here is a pic of the wonderful pompom display at Swaffham Bulbeck church for Christmas 2014. We were proud to be a part of it. See the full report:
Dec 2016. Farewell and safe journey to Rong on her return to Shanghai.
Nov 2016. Thank you to Linda for a warm welcome to her new home.
We had a fab time with Claire Cousins (http://www.clairescreativecabin.co.uk) creating our mini landscapes – see the gallery for the results.
Hoping to hold another session later in the year, perhaps making something Christmassy…
We are currently knitting for the Benefice Noah’s Ark. So far, two zebras, two owls, half a snake, and Mr Noah himself! There is plenty more to be done so drop us a line if you would like a pattern and some yarn.
…we are hoping to organise a needle-felting workshop for April or May. Please get in touch if you are interested.
