I cannot count my day complete, ’til needle, thread and fabric meet.

Welcome to Anglesey in Stitches, a friendly and informal knitting and stitching group for the Anglesey villages of Lode, Swaffham Bulbeck, Bottisham, Stow-cum-Quy and Swaffham Prior.
We meet on odd-dated Tuesdays of the month at 8pm at the Black Horse, Swaffham Bulbeck where we have found a warm welcome and good lighting. We can be found either in the conservatory or at the back of the restaurant area.
Anyone is welcome to join us, whether you are accomplished at your craft or a complete beginner; our ethos is that we all learn and benefit from each other’s knowledge and experience, whether that is with knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, patchwork or other techniques.
We are currently knitting for the Benefice Noah’s Ark. So far, two zebras, two owls, half a snake, and Mr Noah himself! There is plenty more to be done so drop us a line if you would like a pattern and some yarn.
…we are hoping to organise a needle-felting workshop for April or May. Please get in touch if you are interested.
Swaffham Bulbeck’s Christmas Art Workshop is on Saturday November 29th, 10am – 12noon and 2pm- 4pm at St Mary’s Church. This is a good fun event for families, an opportunity to try different crafts and make the church look special for the Christingle service the following morning and for Christmas.
In Stitches will be there to help with pompom making. If you have pompom makers and any spare yarn please bring these with you.
Come and talk to us tomorrow at Reach Fair and support the Lode-Quy cycle path by buying yourself a handelbar decoration.
See us in the Observer – page 40 of the New Review section!
Just wondering whether I spotted a shamrock in there on St Patrick’s day, or am I imagining things?
