I cannot count my day complete, ’til needle, thread and fabric meet.

Welcome to Anglesey in Stitches, a friendly and informal knitting and stitching group for the Anglesey villages of Lode, Swaffham Bulbeck, Bottisham, Stow-cum-Quy and Swaffham Prior.
We meet on odd-dated Tuesdays of the month at 8pm at the Black Horse, Swaffham Bulbeck where we have found a warm welcome and good lighting. We can be found either in the conservatory or at the back of the restaurant area.
Anyone is welcome to join us, whether you are accomplished at your craft or a complete beginner; our ethos is that we all learn and benefit from each other’s knowledge and experience, whether that is with knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, patchwork or other techniques.
Work has finally begun on the Lode-Quy cycle path! It will take a few months but the end is in sight. Prepare yourselves for a few celebratory pom-poms!
The digestive tract complete, with a reasonable sized marble passed. The kids had great fun with it at Science Day, as we did knitting it – the jokes kept us going for weeks!
The end and the start of the digestive tract, plus a good few feet in between. This is our current group project – for use in science events in our local primary schools.
Veronica is knitting this year’s Debbie Abrahams mystery blanket – February squares complete…
This blog has a bit of catching up to do. Here is a pic of the wonderful pompom display at Swaffham Bulbeck church for Christmas 2014. We were proud to be a part of it. See the full report:
